1. What We Collect

DelegAI collects the following information when you register and use the service:

• Account data: Email address and hashed password (SHA256, not plaintext).
• API keys: Your OpenAI or OpenRouter API key, stored encrypted and used only to route your requests to the AI model you select. DelegAI does not use your API key for any other purpose.
• Conversation data: Your chat messages and AI responses are stored securely to provide conversation history across sessions. You can delete your chat history at any time using the "Clear" button.
• Usage data: Basic rate-limiting timestamps to prevent abuse. No personal browsing data is collected.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Your API key is used exclusively to authenticate requests to OpenAI or OpenRouter on your behalf.
• Your conversations are stored so you can return to them later. They are not shared, sold, or used to train AI models.
• Your email is used for account management and administrative notifications only.

3. Data Storage & Security

• All data is stored on a secure cloud server (Hetzner, Germany) with encrypted connections (HTTPS).
• Passwords are hashed using SHA256. We recommend using a strong, unique password.
• Session cookies are HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax. They are used only for authentication.
• We implement security headers (X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, XSS Protection) to protect against common web vulnerabilities.

4. Third-Party Services

DelegAI sends your messages to the AI model provider you select (OpenAI or OpenRouter) to generate responses. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they process data. We recommend reviewing OpenAI's and OpenRouter's privacy policies.

Optional web search (Tavily) sends your query to Tavily's search API only when you have configured a Tavily API key.

5. Your Rights

• Access: You can view your data by logging into your account.
• Deletion: You can clear your chat history at any time. To delete your entire account, contact the administrator.
• Export: You can export your chat history using the "Export" button in the chat interface.
• Correction: You can update your API key, system prompt, and other settings at any time.

6. Cookies

DelegAI uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is essential for the service to function. No tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party cookies are used.

7. Disclaimer

DelegAI is an AI coaching assistant. AI-generated responses may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Always verify critical information from authoritative sources. DelegAI is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, or technical advice.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
